For Beginners
I'm at the moment working on this, once I've finished writing a new section, or completed a good chunk of it, I'll list it below. Be patient! :)
This will mostly be written at a leisurely rate, so don't expect updates often, as you can see this section hasn't been touched in months. A very good site with more information on the constellations and various aspects of astrophotography, and might be worth checking out is An Observation of the Night Sky, maintained by Jerry Pool and Asaf Saar.
Books for Beginners
Some very useful books, I do own these books and can highly recommend them. Click on the cover for more information or to buy them from Amazon.co.uk.

Good book, packed with information on just about anything astronomy/space related and lots of pretty pictures! Good for space buffs and great for beginners. |
An extremely useful pocket sized book, featuring all 88 constellations. Details on brightest objects in each stars, galaxies, nebulae and clusters. Very simple and straight forward. Don't underestimate it's size, the benefits of it fitting in your pocket when you're observing quickly becomes apparent. |
